My name is Kara Saunders and I am a 30 year old professional athlete. I have competed at a high level of my sport for 7 years winning the title of Australia’s fittest woman for five of those years. My highest placing was 2nd in the world in 2017. I own a CrossFit gym in Brisbane, Crossfit Kova and have recently become a new mum to a beautiful little girl, Scotti. I’ve always had a passion for natural health and fitness and it continues to play a major part in my athletic career and my home life. My overall life goal is to use health and fitness practices to live my best days.

Simon Hill isn’t the stereotypical vegan you may have in mind. Rather than preaching his message, Simon lives by example to change the way people view plant-based living and prove it’s possible to be strong, fit and vibrantly healthy without animal-based foods.

Simon is a qualified health professional, having studied a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Plant-Based Nutrition through Cornell University and a master’s in human nutrition. He is also set to release his first book in 2020; a guide to plant-based living that breaks down complex science to empower people with evidence-based information, inspiration and recipes. Simon has always had a keen interest in science and health. With a father who is a doctor, Simon understood early on the importance of backing up health claims with clinical studies and research.

Matthew has 23 years clinical experience as a Naturopath, Medical Herbalist, Nutritional medicine, food therapist and Sports injury management specialising in fatigue, pain, immune, hormonal disorders and natural performance enhancement for elite athletes. Matt has worked with leading companies in the industry and is highly regarded in the healthcare industry having created education and training material for healthcare professionals, formulating new products and introducing new ingredients to the marketplace from concept to finished product and predicting future trends. Matt is currently the head of Research and Development for ATP Science responsible for developing new product formulations, new ingredients and further advancing the science and education behind natural health and wellness systems.

Richard Kreider

Dr. Kreider serves as Professor, Executive Director of the Human Clinical Research Facility (HCRF), and Director of the Exercise & Sport Nutrition Lab at Texas A&M University. He served as Head of the Department of Health & Kinesiology and Thomas A. and Joan Read Endowed Chair for Disadvantaged Youth (2008 to 2017). He has over 30 years administrative experience serving as Co-Director/Director of the Wellness Institute & Research Center at Old Dominion University; Assistant Department Chair at the University of Memphis; Chair of the Department of Health, Human Performance, and Recreation and Director of the Center for Exercise, Nutrition & Preventive Health at Baylor University; Head of the Department of Health & Kinesiology and Executive Director of the HCRF (2017 to present). Under his leadership, the departments at Baylor University and Texas A&M University experienced extraordinary growth, development, improved teaching and research facilities, enhanced scholarly productivity, improvement in national rankings, and international impact. Dr. Kreider is a member of the graduate faculty in the Department of Health & Kinesiology and Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences.

Dr. Kreider and his students have presented over 600 presentations at regional, national, and international professional conferences. Dr. Kreider has received the NSCA Nutrition Achievement Award (2010), Global Health & Pharma Sport & Nutrition Award (2017), and the ISSN Lifetime Achievement Award (2018). Dr. Kreider has been a featured speaker at numerous conferences internationally and serves as a scientific consultant for industry and national professional organizations.

Ken Ware is the Founder of Neurotricional Sciences Pty Ltd and NeuroPhysics Therapy and Research. He has been in private practice for almost 30 years whilst engaging in independent and collaborative therapy based research, in an effort to advance the global understanding of the real potential the human system has for self-healing of complex psychophysical diseases and disorders and optimal performance - when given the right sets of initial conditions. His long-term devotion to and successes in assisting others to optimize their mental and physical health has become internationally appreciated and portrayed through several international and national media programs. His unique methods saw world renowned paraplegic wheelchair athlete John Maclean take his first unassisted steps in 25 years in just 3 days of NeuroPhysics Therapy, as detailed in the Sixty Minutes program titled ‘No Limits’.

He has presented his unique research and findings at various International Science Conferences, including Neuroscience, Physics, Psychology and Life Sciences, covering a very broad scientific audience. His hypothesis, research and findings are published in ‘Frontiers in Clinical Physiology’ - ‘World Journal of Neuroscience’ – ‘World Journal of Cardiovascular diseases’. Ken is also a former Mr. Universe 1994, National powerlifting and Bodybuilding champion and record holder. He was the recipient of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth’s’ ‘Australian Sports Medal’ in 2000, in recognition of his personal contributions to the development of the Australian Sporting Culture. Naturopath, Elizma Lambert lectures nationally and internationally to health practitioners, medical doctors, and those who are passionate about their health when she is not treating clients from all over the world for various complex and chronic conditions. This includes being a guest speaker at the ‘Wistar Institute of Cancer Research’ at the University of Pennsylvania in the USA, and being invited to speak to hundreds of parents who have children with Autism in Warsaw, Poland. She also has the reputation of being an industry expert when it comes to functional test interpretations, including organic acids, and ‘connecting the dots’ between biochemistry, genetics and symptoms in complex health conditions as well as enhanced performance. Her goal is to educate practitioners and people to take a more ‘generalist’ approach when it comes to their health and understand that all systems in the body are connected and influence each other. Whether it is gut dysbiosis, hormones, autoimmune disease, mitochondrial dysregulation, neurotransmitters, cell-signalling or genetic expression, it is all about understanding the biochemistry that underpins it. Elizma joined the ATP Science family this year and have lots of fun contributing to the health and wellness of the ATP Science ‘tribe’.
